And one thing is for sure; when Jesus spoke to his eleven disciples there was not a single ordained pastor, Sunday-school teacher, song leader, church board member, televangelist, Christian aid worker, Christian musician, Christian author, or any other sort of "high-profile" Christian worker among them. They were just ordinary guys like you and me. Ordinary, except for the fact that they had learned to walk with Jesus.
Today’s entry is somewhat short simply because I want to emphasize one simple and important truth–and not bog it down or drown it with too much “other stuff.”
Job 11:13-18 – “Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.”
Who are you? What do you do? Why are you hear?
It is the Word of God that creates the world. God spoke…and it was…and it was good. More important than the actual time involved in the creation is the question as to how this world came to be.
