3 Haikus and 3 Limericks

Nearness changes sight —
Tree-climber meets grace up close;
God placed you right here.

A tax man climbed high in a tree,
To glimpse whom he wanted to see.
Then Jesus looked up,
Said "I'll share your cup,"
And proximity set him free.

Shared table transforms —
Enemies become allies;
God's image revealed.

God placed you right where you should be,
Not by chance but divine decree.
Your neighbors and street,
Not random to meet,
You're the light that some may never see.

Sacred crossroads wait—
Where your path meets stranger's need;
Christ stands in between.

A church isn't meant to just be,
But to carry God's mission, you see.
Not just Sunday's affair,
But proximity's dare
To cross lines like Christ did for thee.

Caterpillars and Butterflies
In those moments when I feel trapped in old patterns or doubt my transformation, the butterfly reminds me: what God begins, He completes. The same power that resurrects dead things into living wonders is at work within me, daily unfolding new wings of possibility.
