Garden Joy
In my garden, I find joy
With bursting blooms and vines,
Wildflowers frame the open space,
Colorful petals dancing in the breeze
Each morning, watering hose in hand
Liquid life spills over soil and stem,
The gentle patter like a secret whispered
Between earth and sky.
Pumpkins swell beneath broad leaves,
Their round bellies cradled by the earth,
The aroma of tomato plants fills the air
It's fruit, like candy, calling out to be collected
Chili peppers hang like jewels,
Abundantly clustered, fiery red,
Waiting for the hand that tends them,
To pluck and taste their spicy heat
In this sanctuary of growth,
Time slows, and every leaf and petal
Becomes a testament to patience,
To the quiet, steady work of hands and heart.
Harvest time comes, and with it,
A bounty gathered in baskets and bowls,
The fruits of labor kissed by sun and rain,
A celebration of life’s simple, fruitful joys.
